!

Click on http://atv.disney.go.com/playhouse/higglytown/games/hopandpop.html
to head down to some hop-popping fun!

This game requires you to hop and pop the bubbles containing the tools which match the occupations of the different characters.

There are other activities which children can enjoy after the game such as "Creating your own Hero" where a child can personalize his own character, or read a story from the Higglytown Heroes cartoon!

Our reviews:

Ratings: 7.5/10

Recommended age group: 4 to 5 years

Navigations: Only the use of mouse is needed. The animated buttons speak when hovered upon, so children can navigate around the website easily even though they may not be able to read. The buttons also come with pictures of the different cartoons so that children can recognise the cartoons they love best. Buttons in the games uses single words so they are not too difficult for the children to understand.

Engagement level: The site is visually pleasing to the eye with the brillant colours. The animations follow children's favourite cartoons so that children can relate to them easily. Its repetitive light-hearted tunes would surely capture a child's attention.

Activity: The instructions are clear and precise so that young children would be able to understand. There is also a demonstration of how the game is played so the child can follow through the game easily. The website contains interactive games of different cartoons that the children can relate to. After the game, the child can have even more fun with its follow-up activities.

During this game, the child can learn matching and learn that different occupations requires different tools and objects, thus widening a child's knowledge of occupations.

Again, this website contains a search engine for you to find your favourite Disney cartoon!

and for children age 0 - 6, they have wonderful range of animated storybooks, songs and games specially for them. (Simply click on the "Boowa & Kwala" to explore)

Our reviews:

Ratings: 8.5/10

Recommended age group: 0 to 10 years

Navigations: Only the use of mouse is needed. It is also easy for preschoolers to navigate in this site as it comes with a picture menu accompanied with words. This way it would be easy for children to navigate around the site if they do not understand the words.

Engagement level: The site is colourful, animated and uses sound effects to captivate children's attention.

Activity: Instructions are simple and easy for preschoolers to follow too. Site provides many activities for children to explore. Children can learn new songs when playing their games or even at the song sections. (Games may require to use the keyboard arrows)

If children or teachers find the site to be too complicating or overwhelming, there's also a search engine where you can locate the type of activity that you are looking for easily!

Whats more, the site does not takes too long to load so its convenient for every one to use.

One interesting activity from this site will be

'Six music boxes. Six Dolls'

click http://www.uptoten.com/kids/boowakwala-adventures-musicbox-musicboxdance.html to link!

Simply guess which doll fit into which music box from the matching shapes and colours.

After playing the game, there will also be follow up activity at the top for you to choose such as 'Make your own music box' or even listen to the song "When you open up". There's also several other activity for you to choose from!

This game holds a large extent of expanding interest and complexity for the children.

the game is engaging as it not only capture children's attention visually but also with interesting and soothing music for children to match with.

as children get bored with playing the game after some time, they may also move on to other follow up activities which will hold the child's interest for an extended period of time. Children will at the same time develop their creativity as they design their own music box.

for this specific game, I feel that it is suitable and targeted specially for children age 4 to 6 as children start to develop matching skills at around the age of 4.
